ROPE ACCESS

Rope access or industrial abseiling provides an innovative new approach to high level access work using a specially designed industrial rope, which allows fast, efficient, safe and cost effective way of conducting a comprehensive range of tasks in difficult to access areas and sometimes harsh environments, such as confined spaces and high level access structures. Rope access requires highly skilled technicians to carry out a wide variety of industrial rope access projects, working in a multitude of industry sectors including construction, maintenance, preservation, building consulting, etc.

Nevertheless, rope access is a safe and even money- and time-saving alternative to scaffolding or powered access. Due to the flexibility in rope access techniques all equipment including ropes are removed at the end of each working day, eliminating potential security risks as well as more general health and safety concerns otherwise related with scaffolding and powered access. Unlike powered access rope access do not need a large flat, open area beneath the work site. The true benefits of rope access are realised when the current cost to access an area is disproportionate to the amount of work that has to be carried out, meaning that rope access can often accomplish in hours, work that previously took days to complete using scaffolding and scaffolding towers.

BIRD PROOFING

Every year we tend to introduce innovations in the range of services our company provides, so that we can efficiently meet the needs of our clients. According to the recent scientific surveys, apparently harmless city birds can become dangerous pests, especially to people’s health. Bird habitats are not only well known sources of unpleasant smell and damage to the aesthetic appearance of residential and business structures, but are also the convenient environment for micro organisms that can cause serious health problems among humans (e.g. Salmonella bacteria which causes diarrhoea, nausea, fever and other symptoms of toxic shock; ornithosis is a 'flu-like' respiratory disease most commonly found in pigeon droppings; fungal infections; etc.). Wet bird droppings are very slippery and can be dangerous where the public has access. Bird droppings have an acidic content, which is corrosive to paintwork and masonry, and in some circumstances, it has been known that the sheer weight of bird fouling can lead to roofs and ceilings collapsing.

Considering these facts, our company has recently started to provide bird proofing service. We offer bird netting and bird spikes as the best and cost effective solutions against any of the urban pest birds. Nets can be fitted horizontally to exclude pest birds from open areas such as walls and courtyards. They can also be fitted vertically to proof large frontages of buildings. A combination of horizontal and vertical fitting nets can be used to proof installations such as air conditioning units on roofs.

The appearance of the model type PG (Bird Spikes):

Bird Spikes are the optimal solution for professional bird proofing, which simply prevents and keeps birds from landing on the protected areas of  building facades. The product is made of quality materials, in about dozen forms, which provides effective facade protection , very long durability with emphasis on high transparency in order to keep the building aesthetic appearance unharmed.

Bird spikes can protect entire buildings or parts of buildings (usually only the front side is protected) in which case it should be taken into consideration that birds will move to another place without protection (usually on the roof of the building)

Assembled elements are very discrete, almost invisible. Installation is simple with a neutral silicon glue or screws and applicable on a variety of surfaces, such as metal, stone, concrete, brick, wood, plaster, painted surfaces, etc..

The system is in accordance with environmental regulations and does not bring harm to  birds.

Elements are manufactured in about dozen forms depending on the width of the surface.

Elements consist of:

Made of one of the highest quality, weather resistant, UV stabilized plastics, which provides a stable holding for spikes and is also very flexible which allows bending required for  adaptation on various forms of facade ornaments.

• stainless steel spikes  AISI 316 quality

Spikes are bent under certain angle in order to maintain flexibility and also security of the birds. There are ten different forms which can protect overhangs of different width, from 20 mm to 170 mm wide. With multiple rows of elements it is possible to protect a wider area.

  Spikes cannot rust and do not leave any traces on the facade. The appearance is unobtrusive, hardly noticeable to passers by. The hight of spikes varies from 100 mm to 130 mm in specific places.

- Resistant to the atmospheric elements, UV radiation, alkaline salts, different colors and paints

Surface preparation

- Clean out of dirt by dusting  and degreasing of surface
- Surface should be dry if the installation is done with silicon glue
- On  very porous surfaces a flattening mass should be used first

Installation of elements

- Silicon glue (approximately 310 ml for 15 meters)
- With screws or nails, 4 pieces per meter

Optimal conditions for installation

- Air temperature from +5 to +30 °C
- Dry without precipitation
